All,

I would like to introduce you to Mr. Billy Martin's work that I estimate very highly.

This is one book filled with warmness and passion not ony for the great Ben Hogan, but to the whole wonderful game of golf. What is also important, written by a guy who knows very well how scores in the 60-ies taste. I recommend everyone to read this book. Not mentioning avid fans of Hogan's technique for whom this is a must read since it offers a fresh look into the best swing motion of all times. To my utmost pleasure, I have found that many details the Author discovers are exactly in-line of my amateur researches in biokinetics.

What makes this book special, except the original content of the supposed Ben Hogan letter to Patrick Mahoney and allprecious remarks for golfers, are all endeavours the Author put to verify the authentity of the very letter. The number of people whom the Author contacted, who could be regarded as Hogan experts, is astounding. Moreover, there are lots of drills and excercises aimed at good preparation to a golf round -- what I would like to underline, as much I consider drills a waste of time, these proposed by the Author evoked my interest, at least to the extent I did not hit the stop button at once.

There are some points in the book that I believe should be corrected from the biokinetical point of view, or better said complemented with additional info -- such as e.g. initial head movement (which is heavily dependent on eyedness) or the name Hybrid Stance that I do not especially like (not because it's diffrerent from my Diagonal Stance name, but more because it has connotation to a club type) -- but these are just minor issues that, I am sure, the Author will take into consideration when explaining his concepts to his students.
'
Having said what I said, I would like to have honour to invite Mr. Billy Martin, the Author of the 'Ben Hogan Letter Lessons' book to our Forum -- and for those of you who would like to get to know Billy's work a bit closer -- here is the link to his site:

I am so grateful that I can share what I have learned about Mr. Hogan. It was a journey I started in 2006. I have a Ebook sample that gives you the backstory to what I accomplished.

I am totally amazed at the content and the passion Dariusz and you the members have for Mr. Hogan and the classic swings of Golf.

We certainly need individuals like this today to have them as role models for our youth.

My website is being revamped so most of what is current is in the Youtube Channel.

Keep it on the short grass!

I will send a link to a sample of my Ebook after I do a couple more posts. It will get this thread up and running.

I want to tell you that I am promoting this Ebook to help golfers use their pivot to drive their hands. I have seen Dariusz swing and a few of the member of this site and you guys are right out of Mr. Hogan's letter.

I read Dariusz treatise on the biokinetical golf swing and it overlays right on top of the letter.

What is amazing is that Mr. Hogan had this in his mind and body back in the 1940's. He knew how important the steady head (not in concrete) and proper leg action and body positions were in the golf swing.

He uses Babe Ruth as a prime example. Dariusz has covered Ted Williams in his Youtube site.

You guys are in for a real treat. I could start at the beginning on who I am and how I found myself drive to hit 60,000 golf balls and track down the student of the letter and call golf courses and golf professionals.

I knew that Mr. Hogan loved golf, and in his own way loved people. He got to know people in a individual way. He was not like a Arnold Palmer.

I will close here and start a new post giving you a quick summary about the start of this journey.

Hey Dariusz and members of this great forum this is Billy Martin and I wanted to get the band going by giving you this link to my most recent Youtube.

In it I talk to golfers who have at least downloaded the sample Ebook and have stepped into the learning curve that Mr. Hogan created for us in this marvelous handwritten letter. Here is the Youtube link.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0d4bxEk6h6Y&list=PLRrRYrcIGsrLcVhwomVeX-gwgVHy1RgvY

I want you guys to review this. I then will come back and we can go over it and discuss what I learned from my journey with the letter and my hitting the 60,000 golf balls.

I really desire for all of you to know what you know and then can apply it on the golf course and then help other golfers.

My Dad, God Bless Him, told me that Golf was a jealous sport, BUT it was a gentleman's game. I did not understand that until I got older.

I feel that I have the responsibility to reveal as much as I can to what I learned and then give the "elusive butterfly of love" that Mr. Hogan penned for one of his students to you.

God Bless All Of You!

Go to my dropbox area and download the zip file that will have my narration and video of the entire Hogan Letter. I also have a chalk talk to get the ball rolling.

I really enjoy Dariusz's videos and his strong concepts of the golf swing. You will realize that Mr. Hogan had this in 1948!

If you haven't downloaded the sample Ebook that covers some of the material that I will be writing about here is the link.

There is a link to a site where one can download the Ibook and vimeo vault videos. I recommend to do so to all Ben Hogan fans.
