Hi J. I have started trying to implement your work in my swing, and was wondering if you could help. I tried posting in your forum, but I don't have enough posts to give you a link. In this video I am presetting the right knee and ankle. I am hitting the ball pretty well, but my pivot looks awkward, especially the right hip action on the backswing. Can you take a look and help me out?

Thanks!!! |
Hello, will revert to it in the evening.

OK, it's a pretty good motion from the biokinetical point of view. It contains a separation of both body parts in the sagittal plane, the swing plane is low and you swing the arms more or less perpendicularily to your spine.
What I do not like is:
- your stance - too narrow, almost no diagonality, lead foot not flared out, lack of visible torque in your rear leg; your lead arm is in line with the shaft (instead being in the mid body position) that contributes to a too early inside takeaway;
- backswing - too "stack&tiltish" for my taste LOL; lead leg aren't allowed to bend inwards and looks like resisting (which in combination with your rear hip correct up and back action makes it look weird DTL - as you noticed); at the top the rear leg should be slanted and straight - like this / , yours is more like ( - while the lead one should bend inwards that helps in the CoG shift to happen automatically --> vide the SPC concept as regards hips;
- downswing - too armsy/handsy; it's like this because of a too small CoG transfer to your lead leg at the end of the backswing; you throw your lag angle too early - subduing the swing to the core/main body would improve it dramatically.
All the above can be easily fixed but first, you need to ask yourself if your ready for changes
